Meet Marissa Kuhl, LCSW

ANXIETY THERAPIST IN SCOTTSDALE, AZ

Hi, I’m Marissa. I’ve been in the therapy space for 12+ years, helping hardworking adults manage anxiety, stress, and life transitions so they can feel more grounded, confident, and in control of their lives.

This work is personal to me. I understand what it’s like to feel overwhelmed, question your self-worth, or get stuck trying to keep up with everyone else’s expectations. That lived understanding shapes how I show up in the therapy room — with patience, practical guidance, and a focus on rebuilding your sense of self.

I believe in a world where you don’t have to be defined by stress, roles, or external pressure — a world where you can feel calm in your body, clear in your choices, and aligned with who you truly are.

  • Simply contact Marissa by calling (480-535-7722) or emailing (marissa@kuhlmentalhealth.com) We can set up a complimentary 15 minute consult to answer any questions. Once your initial intake appointment is scheduled, you will receive an invitation to create an online profile to fill out paperwork that is submitted electronically. This paperwork must be completed before your first session.

  • The intake session is our opportunity to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. Well talk about your goals, your personal history, and the issues you're currently facing. If it feels like a good fit for both of us, we'll go ahead and schedule future sessions to secure your preferred day and time.

  • You don't have to stay in therapy forever. Therapy is a tool that helps people manage mental health, work through challenges, and improve well-being, but it's not meant to be a lifelong commitment for everyone. The length of time you spend in therapy depends on your goals and your progress. Some people go for a few months to address a specific issue, while others may stay longer for ongoing support. It's totally okay to take breaks from therapy, too. Many people check in for a "tune-up" every so often or return if something new comes up in their life.

  • Kuhl Mental Health has a physical office in the Gainey Ranch neighborhood of Scottsdale, Arizona. The full address is 7702 E Doubletree Ranch Road, Suite 300, Scottsdale, AZ 85258.

  • If you're unable to attend a session in person at our Scottsdale location, we offer online therapy (teletherapy) to clients anywhere in Arizona. This convenient and effective option allows you to receive support without the need to travel. You can join sessions from the comfort of your home using a computer, tablet, or phone which can save time and makes therapy more accessible and stress-free.
