Therapy for High-Achieving Professionals in Scottsdale, AZ
I help high-achieving professionals navigate anxiety, life transitions, burnout, and the pressure of holding everything together—without sacrificing the success they've worked hard to build.
You may be successful on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stretched thin on the inside. I help high-achieving adults better manage anxiety, strengthen relationships, recover from burnout, and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
You Might Be Here Because...
From the outside, your life looks successful.
You've built a career you're proud of, people depend on you, and you've accomplished many of the goals you once worked so hard to reach. But lately, it feels like you're constantly carrying the weight of what's next.
Maybe your mind never truly leaves work, even when you're home.
Maybe anxiety has become your default setting, making it difficult to relax, slow down, or enjoy the life you've built.
Maybe you're navigating a major life transition—a career change, a growing family, a move, a relationship shift, or another season that's left you feeling uncertain.
Or maybe you're simply exhausted from feeling like you always have to be "on."
As a Scottsdale therapist specializing in therapy for high-achieving professionals, I help clients navigate anxiety, chronic stress, work-life balance, and life transitions in a way that feels practical and sustainable.
Therapy isn't about asking you to become someone different or give up the ambitions that matter to you. It's about making the internal shifts that help you respond to stress differently, build a healthier relationship with success, regulate your nervous system, and create a life that feels more present, connected, and fulfilling.
Why High-Achieving Professionals Choose to Work With Me
Hi, I'm Marissa Kuhl, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist in Scottsdale, Arizona. I specialize in working with high-achieving professionals who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, chronic stress, and the pressure of balancing ambitious careers with meaningful personal lives.
Many of the people I work with are successful by every outward measure. They're dependable, driven, and deeply invested in their careers, relationships, and responsibilities. But beneath that success, they often feel overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, or like they're constantly carrying the weight of what's next.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Rather than asking you to change who you are or give up the life you've worked hard to build, we'll focus on making meaningful internal shifts—helping you better understand your patterns, regulate your nervous system, respond to stress with greater intention, and create a healthier relationship with success. My goal is to help you feel more present, more confident, and more connected to the life you're already building.
In-Person & Online Therapy

"What sets Marissa apart is her ability to really connect with individuals who are going through identity shifts, major transitions, or who feel uncertain about their direction in life. She brings a thoughtful, grounded approach to her work that helps people feel understood—not pathologized. I’ve seen patients come back with a clearer sense of who they are, more self-compassion, and the tools to manage anxiety and mood symptoms in a sustainable way."

If it feels like a good fit for both of us, we'll go ahead and schedule future sessions to secure your preferred day and time.

You don't have to stay in therapy forever. Therapy is a tool that helps people manage mental health, work through challenges, and improve well-being, but it's not meant to be a lifelong commitment for everyone. The length of time you spend in therapy depends on your goals and your progress. Some people go for a few months to address a specific issue, while others may stay longer for ongoing support. It's totally okay to take breaks from therapy, too. Many people check in for a "tune-up" every so often or return if something new comes up in their life.
